THE BIGGER PICTURE
Endrick was holding a shirt in his post, but not a Real Madrid shirt. The number 26 on the back also isn't likely to be a clue as to the one he will be assigned at the Benabeu as Spanish football regulations only consider those one to 25 as 'first-team' jerseys. It could, however, be a nod to a potential new shirt number.

WHAT NEXT FOR ENDRICK?
Endrick is currently with the Brazil squad preparing for the Copa America, set to play their opening game against Costa Rica on June 24. By the the time the tournament finishes in mid-July, the teenager will be just a week away from his 18th birthday, at which point he will finally be able to link up with Real Madrid. Given that he is only midway through what would have been his 2024 season with Palmeiras, Endrick could even feature for his new club on their tour to the United States in the first week of August.
